By the time you read this, the rules of the AI game have probably changed already.

There are probably more magic tools, new models, and somebody has once again announced the end of some profession. But you know what? It doesn't matter.

Because what matters most is still the relationship with the client. If it isn't there, if you don't get on, if you don't share the same values, no AI tool will change that or carry the project nicely.

01The relationship matters more than any tool.

FROM MY EXPERIENCE
Some working relationships last 17 years. And some leave us sick of each other after two hours.

I always put my cards on the table. If a client starts doing something we didn't plan and didn't agree on, I very often tell them straight to their face. Sometimes we simply have to part ways.

Often they do it completely unknowingly, so it's not that I walk away straight away. First I lay my cards on the table and say how things are. Only then do we decide together what's next.

02I don't have to work on every project. And I shouldn't.

I'm lucky that I don't have to take every job. And it's never the client's fault. Everyone has their own habits, their own thinking and their own approach, and you don't have to get on with everyone.

I think that's healthier than fighting and forcing things to fit. It's an open market. Some people value one thing, others something completely different - and that's when it starts to work.

03So you don't think it's always this rosy.

It isn't. I've had hard working relationships, especially at the start. The kind that kept me awake for a long time. But those are exactly the ones that shaped me the way I am.

Thanks to them I know how to tell that something is starting to go wrong. And I know it's better to say it straight away than to pretend everything is fine.

04I won't pretend. I use AI in 90% of my tasks.

I won't tell you I don't use AI, because I use it almost everywhere. And it's thanks to AI that my business has taken off in recent years, and the quality of my work has improved so much that I can finally talk about it openly and without shame.

What does it look like day to day? Roughly like this:

AIWhat I do with AI's help

  • I write and rebuild website code - this website was made that way too.
  • I put together an app prototype in a single day, so you can see straight away what we are talking about.
  • I build automations: forms, notifications, quote reminders.
  • I make a voice CMS - the client talks to their phone and the website updates.
  • I plan hundreds of SEO pages and make sure every one of them makes sense.
  • I move websites off page builders onto clean, fast code.
  • I teach this to others - our community (in Polish) has more than 250 people.

MEWhat I'll never hand over

  • Talking to you - from the first message to the last tweak.
  • Deciding what we build, and what we had better not build.
  • Judging whether AI is right. Because often it isn't.
  • Responsibility for the result.
  • Saying “no” when something doesn't make sense.

05AI doesn't judge you. It just helps. And that's the catch.

What do I like most about working with AI? The algorithm doesn't judge you. As long as you know how to talk to it, and you have the knowledge and experience, you can build literally anything today.

But you shouldn't always do it yourself. If you run a business that has nothing to do with AI, look after your business and delegate the rest to professionals. Believe me, it will always pay off.

THE OPTIMISATION LOOP
  1. Optimise my website.
  2. Done! I can also optimise the images, code and headings. Shall I?
  3. Yes, optimise.
  4. Done! I have a few more optimisation ideas…

AI will never tell you: “That's enough, this website is good now”.

Of course you can make yourself a website today. But will that website do anything for you? That's a different story. AI does exactly what you tell it to. Ask for optimisation as many times as you like, and you'll get as many optimisations.

AI will always want to please you and suggest more things. That's not the point. The point is to have someone who knows when to stop, and tells you so directly.

06One thing I won't hand over to any algorithm.

AI helps me work faster and better. But I'm the one who reads your message, I'm the one who replies and I'm the one who picks up the phone. Email, messenger or phone - it's always me on the other end.

07Before you hire me, do one thing.

If you'd like to work with me, first look at what I've done. Read a few of my articles. And see what I build for businesses, because that's where the results are.

If this resonates with you, I think we'll make something really good together.

AI really is a wonderful thing. In skilled hands it works wonders, and more. Want to see which ones? Tell me what problem you have, and we'll see how we can solve it.
